Please hear and read what our esteemed Senator from Nevada had to say about Private Sector vs Public Sector Jobs. Senator Reid has officially lost touch with his constituents. The money being pumped into the economy from all the ‘stimulus” and “jobs bills” that is earmarked for construction projects are ALL PUBLIC Sector Mr. Reid. I don’t see ANY money allocated for private sector projects. We do not see any relief in the private sector especially since our politicians have absolutely no idea what it means to actually understand the implications of their words. Next time Mr. Reid, know of what you speak!

Today, Wednesday October 19th, 2011, I’m honored to have been invited to introduce Congresswoman Shelley Berkley for her press conference about the importance of creating jobs in Nevada.

As a small business owner, I know firsthand the economic struggles that the people of Nevada are going through. Nevada has the highest unemployment rate in the country. We need jobs here and we need them now.

Yet some in Washington still don’t get it. They are more concerned with protecting taxpayer giveaways to corporations that ship American jobs overseas than creating jobs here in Nevada. Last week, the Senate voted on legislation cracking down on the Chinese government’s unfair trade policies that are cheating Nevada workers out of their jobs. Chinese currency manipulation has cost Nevada 15,000 jobs over the last decade. But when the Senate voted to crack down on China’s unfair trade policies and actually do something to create jobs in Nevada, some chose to stand with the Chinese government over our own.

Congresswoman Shelley Berkley knows that we need to be creating jobs in Nevada, not China. Shelley has laser focus on getting the people of Nevada back to work and that is exactly why we need her in the Senate fighting for unemployed Nevadans. The unemployment rate is far too high to be focused on anything but job-creation.

Nevadans will have a clear choice in next year’s election between Shelley Berkley, who is committed to getting Nevadans back to work, and her opponent who would rather Nevada workers continue to lose their jobs than stand up to the Chinese government.
