LM Construction And The Koreteck Building System

There are a lot of significant changes in regards to materials used in commercial buildings applications. Some of these materials are the product of specific building environments; some were developed in response to natural disasters such as fire, flood or earthquakes. What becomes very important is finding a system that simplifies your issues instead of further complicating them.

One of the systems that we’ve identified is the Koreteck panel system manufactured by BlueScope steel, which is a parent company of Butler metal buildings.

We’ve decided that there is a tremendous fit in Las Vegas because the R values (thermal resistance) for this panel, the sound factor the RTC factor (Sound resistance) of the panel, the equally important – the speed in installation of the panes has made it a natural for some of these retail building that we were developing in Las Vegas.

When you can take a building and have it up in 90 days, that’s invaluable for our clients. Whereas sometimes it might be 120 days or 140 days, to where it’s up and in a position where you can market it. So if you are getting a 30 to 60 day jump on your competitor, that’s huge. What we’re doing at LM Construction is looking for solutions that speed up construction, to get your product to market faster and enables you to then earn income quicker.

Some alternate building methods may not always be new. They might be some old tried and true methods. For example, a Butler pre-engineered building. Butler patented a system years ago that provided people with a clear span option. That means no interior columns. So no additional footings, no column supports for your roof, now everything is supported from perimeter columns, and you have a wide open center.

So the best way to do things in a new light is to sometimes look at the way the old things have been done and resurrecting those methods by modernizing them with new materials. This saves our clients time and money – each and every time.
