LM CONSTRUCTION CO. COMPLETES TENANT IMPROVEMENTS ON LJ’s BAR & GRILL
Maryland Parkway and Sahara Avenue Shopping Center Gets Facelift with Opening of New Bar
LAS VEGAS, NV – LM Construction Co. announced today the company has finished tenant improvements on LJ’S Bar & Grill, a 4,532 square foot bar located in the A Mall at 1243 E. Sahara Avenue.
LM Construction provided complete design-build services on the project, including design and construction services.
“It was a challenging but exciting project,” said Mike Kessler, tenant improvement manager with LM Construction. “In addition to combing three different spaces - a deli, a restaurant and a bar - there was quite a bit of retrofitting and upgrading needed in this 30+ year old building.”
Kent Johns, tavern partner and commercial real estate broker, had worked with LM Construction on previous projects and was impressed with the company’s follow-through and quality of work.
“The intersection of Maryland and Sahara is at the heart of where retail started in this town,” said Johns. “Economically challenged for years, this area is changing dramatically and just starting to re-emerge as a vibrant retail and community hub. Currently, there are eight high rises planned to be built within 1.1 miles of where we’re located.”
Simple clean lines were utilized to create this hip bar/video poker lounge that includes open ceilings and exposed spiral ductwork.
“My brother, an attorney and partner in this project, and I wanted to create a neighborhood bar where professionals would want to hang out,” said Johns. “LM Construction was able to understand our vision and work with us to design a space that is both comfortable and upscale.”
The total cost for the project was $180,000.00.
